Property Development in Waratah

Peta and Alex from Sydney saw the exciting opportunity for property development in Newcastle and enlisted the help of Select Property Finder. Peta and Alex owned a long-running family business. They decided it was time to sell the business and take advantage of another opportunity, property development. Judith helped them find the perfect location in Waratah to begin their new venture. Judith found two neighbouring blocks of land with a house and a shop that already came with DA approved plans. Located close to the Calvary Mater Hospital and with easy access to the CBD, the site was highly sought-after, but Judith helped Peta and Alex secure the property. Although the property came with DA approved plans, Judith helped Peta and Alex negotiate changes to make the development more feasible, affordable and in-line with their stylistic ideas. For the six townhouses, they designed an up-market style, featuring open-plan living, a terrace space, modern kitchens, bathrooms and ensuites. As soon as the townhouses were listed on the market, they were sold and achieved a great profit. Although the project didn’t come without its challenges, it was a great learning curve for Peta and Alex, who are now working with Judith to find their next property development project.
